Lauren focuses on obtaining visas for individuals of extraordinary ability for entertainment/music companies, the commercial/film/TV industry, theatres, dance companies, advertising/digital agencies, and start-ups. Lauren is passionate about untangling complex legal situations for top executives and creatives, developing strategies that effectively address personal and business needs.  Lauren also focuses on private wealth cases, often working with tax and other counsel to address a client’s full range of needs. Before practicing immigration law, Lauren was a public defender at The Legal Aid Society in Manhattan, which she credits for her fearless approach to casework. Lauren is rated a Super Lawyer in the New York Metro Area and is a featured Global Elite Thought Leader and Partner in the Who’s Who Legal: Corporate Immigration guide. Lauren frequently lectures on immigration law issues before American Immigration Lawyers Association's ("AILA") and other prestigious organizations and universities, including New York University, Yale University, Brooklyn Law School, and the International Center for Photography, among others. Lauren served as the Co-Chair of the AILA NY Chapter's Pro Bono Committee and as a liaison on AILA's National Pro Bono Committee.

Aja Pardini

Aja specializes in acquiring temporary and permanent visa status in the United States for individuals of international recognition including visual artists, musicians/entertainers and musical groups, composers, actors/directors/producers in film/television and theatre, animators, designers, and more. She also has extensive experience in family and other employment-based immigration cases, having focused exclusively on immigration law since 2008. Recognized by Super Lawyers as a top-rated immigration attorney since 2014 and recognized as a Future Leader by Who’s Who Legal: Corporate Immigration guide since 2019, Aja frequently lectures on immigration issues before AILA and other prestigious organizations and universities including New York University, Yale University, the International Center of Photography, and the Atlantic Acting School, among others. Aja regularly represents clients on a pro bono basis through the Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (VLA) and previously served as Co-Chair of the American Immigration Lawyers Association's ("AILA") NY Chapter's Local Government Committee and as Co-Chair of the NYC Immigration Action Group. Jennifer Haines

Senior Associate

Jen, who attended law school with the specific goal of pursuing a life-long career in Immigration Law, brings a unique perspective to the field, having practiced across nearly all sub-facets of the profession. Her experience is significant in employment based and family-based cases as well as humanitarian claims and removal defense. Jen’s experience across the gamut of many sub-fields within immigration law means that she can spot avenues for benefits or issues in cases, thus preempting them, that other attorneys might miss. Within the area of employment-based immigration, Jen’s experience includes depth in both immigrant and non-immigrant petitions, including in the EB-1C multinational/executive category, EB-2 and EB-3 categories for green cards, and in the following non-immigrant categories: E-3, H-1B, L-1A, and TN.

Jen is a graduate of Rutgers Law, and a member of the New Jersey & Pennsylvania bars. She is also admitted to practice law in federal district courts in both New Jersey, Pennsylvania, as well as Washington, DC. She is also an active member of the American Immigration Lawyer’s Association (“AILA”) and is a near-fluent speaker of Spanish.

Having represented accomplished business, technology and medical professionals in securing immigration benefits through EB-1, EB-2 NIW, and O-1, he manages a portfolio of permanent and temporary visa cases across all stages of preparation and adjudication. With both personal and professional insight into the immigration process, he brings a distinctive combination of diligence, empathy, and strategic precision to each client matter.

Parm earned his Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law in Queens, NY, and gained exposure to international and comparative legal systems through study and research programs in Panama, Italy and China. He served as Executive Articles Editor for the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review and as Team Leader for the Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, Austria. Admitted to practice in New York, he is fluent in Punjabi and Hindi.

Candelaria Barrera Mejía

Paralegal

Prior to joining DeBellis Aviv Pardini, Candelaria worked as a litigation legal assistant at a civil rights firm. She also has experience working with various immigrant and youth communities in New York City through non-profits, specifically, facilitation focused on empowerment, development and college-access mentoring. Candelaria is a 2023 Phi Beta Kappa inductee who attended Barnard College and graduated with a B.A. with Honors in Sociology and Education. She is fluent in Spanish.

Jace Seiyo Haehnlein

Paralegal

Jace joined DeBellis Aviv Pardini after working as a global immigration paralegal, where Jace assisted corporate clients with business visas and work/residence permits worldwide (outside the United States). Before entering immigration law, Jace worked in higher education and tourism. Jace holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Literature from the University of Colorado, a Master’s in Tourism Management from Colorado State University, and a postgraduate degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Birkbeck, University of London. When not working, Jace enjoys spending time with his partner and Great Dane in the city.

Chaitali Rajput

Paralegal

Caly (Chaitali) Rajput is an immigration paralegal and a licensed attorney in India with extensive experience in employment-based visa matters. At DeBellis Aviv Pardini LLP, she focuses on supporting clients in the creative, corporate, and technology sectors with employment-based work authorization and green card petitions.
 


Bringing over six years of cross-border legal experience to the firm, Caly previously practiced as an Attorney in Mumbai, India. There, she led corporate and litigation matters and was recognized as the "Youngest Woman Lawyer" by IPRCL for her significant contributions to reducing corporate litigation. In the U.S., Caly has gained hands-on experience in humanitarian immigration, corporate, and employment law while working with firms and organizations. Throughout her legal career, she has actively worked to advance access to justice, volunteering with multiple nonprofit initiatives to support this commitment.
 


Caly holds an LL.M. in International Business Law from Northeastern University School of Law, where she received the Global Law and Justice Scholarship, and an LL.M. in Human Rights Law from the University of Mumbai. Her background allows her to approach corporate experience with a valuable empathetic perspective. In addition to her professional life, she enjoys playing the guitar and is fluent in both Hindi and Marathi.

Sloane Barbre

Executive Assistant/Personal Assistant

Sloane is a recent graduate of the University of Maryland, where she earned a B.A. in English and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa 2025. As a member of the Honors College at UMD, Sloane was active in the Honors Humanities Living and Learning Program, which focused on exploring the intersectionality of modern-day political and cultural dilemmas. Throughout her schooling, she served as a student body representative for the College of Arts and Humanities on the University Senate, held leadership roles in many student-led political and humanitarian organizations, and worked as an English tutor at the university’s widely-acclaimed Writing Center. Sloane is passionate about mitigating the literacy crisis, supporting and uplifting artists, promoting creativity, and celebrating multiculturalism.
